Hello all, I trust everyone has been well!

I am trying to help some friends of mine who are in a bit of a state of hardship at the moment. Basically, I'm trying to assist in the rehoming of their two Murray River turtles. Please see below.

    1) Common Name: Murray River turtle
    2) Scientific Name: Emydura macquarii macquarii
    3) Number available: 2
    4) Shell length in cm: 19cm & 18cm
    5) Housed inside or outside? Inside
    6a) Dimensions of current enclosure 1: 117 Length x 46 Width x 51 Depth
    6b) Dimensions of current enclosure 2: 122 Length x 35 Width x 45 Depth
    7) Turtle's name(s): Billie & Lenny (both male)
    8) Location (suburb and post code): Newcomb (Geelong) 3219
    9) Is there a tank/pond or other equipment available to the new owner? Yes, tanks are included. (more details of inclusions to follow)

Billie has had part of his toenail bitten off by Lennie when they were housed together. They've been split up since.

    Please see attached photos.

    Warm regards,

    Mark B

G'day Mark, I hope you find a new home for these two turtles!

To be honest I'm not in the least surprised that one of them has bitten the other one and damaged his foot.

Could you please upload a photo of the damaged foot so that the potential new owner can see how bad it is before he or she makes a decision?

I did tag you in this post asking if you could re-home them but the post seems to have vanished.

No you didn't Kev. You're confused because one person has two Murrays for FREE and the other is selling Murrays that were rescued turtles the person got for free.

You tagged Ben in the following post in another thread in the 'Turtles for sale. Provide licence details.' forum Here :arrowright:https://www.australianfreshwatertur...x-murray-river-turtles-qld.15613/#post-140249

Good afternoon all, please see the two attached pictures of Billie's foot. It's not as bad as I had thought, more just the nail has been bitten off.

    Thanks again all.

On another note, would it be possible to be added to the facebook page?

I agree Mark, it was hardly even worth mentioning at all.

I'll have to ask Kev if he wouldn't mind putting it on the facebook page. I haven't been on facebook since the end of August.

I haven't been on Facebook for a few months myself, only breeding the one pair of Pygmy dragons this year so having a well earned break from all the dramas

Not a problem guys, I wasn't sure if it was active or what the situation is. It's always nice to see peoples' beautiful turtles. :D
